Trusses are finally fixed!

 4 weeks after the original framers went MIA, they show up to fix their mistakes. The idea of a new framer didn't come through since their schedule couldn't accommodate us before the original framer came back. I am fairly certain the framers have framed 3 other houses in the day they started our project back in August. In the end I am just glad SOMETHING is happening. Since we have had so much rain they have really tore up the beautiful dirt work we had done . . so that will need to be fixed in the spring. We should see the framing wrapped up next week. They need to set the vaulted ceiling trusses, and then sheet the roof. All other trades on hold until that work is done.

Trusses were installed on the porch cover this week, along with the top piece of the big trusses

Friday November 13th, they put up more wall sheeting on the exterior


November 11th and 12th they used the forklift to push the trusses to the correct location.
This looks much better

Maybe this summer we will have some nice gatherings back here

Cedar deck complete, tiled porch . . still in progress

 The back deck outside the 12' slider is only 4' deep to accomodate county code. We hope to add to it later when budget allows and/o...
