We knew we wanted to have a webpage to document our home build process. It's been a long journey and one we want to be able to look back on. After the project started going downhill we realized documenting it was must.

Some framing progress
Windows were delivered on Monday the 5th (double slider on back order, coming the 12th). The framing crew brought a 4th guy Thursday this week. They were able to get the large trusses set. Earlier in the week they install the 5 small front windows, built the stair landings and installed the porch posts and beams. Supposed to get rain tonight, still no sheeting or roof.

Where did the framers go??
The trusses were delivered almost 2 weeks ago on Monday the 21st. We saw the framers working on the 22nd. The 23rd the rain moved in and they picked up their tool trailer and left. I've been trying to get an update from our project manager since then (who says he is trying to reach the framer/sub). The construction manager called me yesterday after I sent and email concerned about this delay. He said it likely due to weather. REALLY!? It's been sunny for the past 5-6 days! We did have rain the 23rd-26th, and dealt with the water on our own after the builder didn't return calls/text. There is no reason for no progress this week. Very frustrating to not have a roof on yet.
Dealing with water for a few days while Mike was gone. Xander is great helping me:

Next - woodstove venting 9/30, then roof and windows! Lets hope the heavy rains hold off a but longer...we've already had 2 good storms pour down on us before roofing.
